Fleas can lay up to 300 eggs in their lifetime. They have three stages of life which are egg, larva, and adult. The most important stages of the flea life cycle are the larva and the adult stages.
The larva are extremely difficult to see. They frequently become stuck in carpet fibers. Within 10 days the larva can become an adult flea, however, eggs can also lay dormant for up to a year.
